His hobbies: He has proficiency in writing and had contributed many appealing articles in English to the Guardian Monthly- the only national English Magazine in Burma. He has a keen spirit in sports especially in tennis. Was awarded ahalf- blue colour certificate in tennis by the Rangoon University Tennis Club in 1958. Won many prizes in table tennis while staying at the Rangoon University as a student.
Just before the advent of the Revolutionary Government, won a foreign state scholarship under the sponsorship of Britist Council to study in the United Kingdom for a diploma course in education, but unfortunately all foreign scholarship schemes were suspended owing to subsequent political change in the country. Married Daw Nuam Zam Cing, dauhter of Rev. Thang Gin of Dolluang and got two sons and one daugter. His dauter is a midwife, his youngest son is attending the government teachnical Institute, Mandalay pursuing a course in Mechanical Engineering and the middle son is a theological student.
